Oh the past two days have been soooo fun!

My husband and I took our kids on Thursday to my 16 week gender sonogram.  I found a lady in Arlington, TX that I LOVE who does gender sonos at 16 weeks with 100% accuracy.  For those of you that are super patient like myself, this is a great deal!!  Her business is Ultraview Imaging and she is precious.  For those of you local gals that are pregnant, you need to check her out!

Ashley revealed baby T to us last year using cupcakes.  You can see her post HERE.  My kids loved it!  It was the best time!!  They have asked since the beginning of this pregnancy if we could do the same.  That brings us here.

My aunt Lolly offered to make the cupcakes.  I had perfect intentions of doing this myself but when offered I quickly said YES PLEASE!

We had the sonogram lady tell us the gender without letting the kids know.  They were going to be surprised with the cupcakes.  This was actually easier than we thought it would be because 3 of my 4 children weren’t totally tuned in during the sono 🙂 I cried a bit and we were done.  I texted Lolly with the results so she could get to working on the goods.

That was Thursday afternoon.  I then had 1,578,749 calls from my 3 sisters begging me to cave and tell early.  I stood my ground!  The party was planned for today at 4.

We had so much fun!  They decided to let my 3 oldest kiddos bite into the cupcakes first.  Lolly recorded the whole thing on her Flip camera and you can see the video HERE!  Be prepared… Big, loud family… That’s us!

It was a blast!  My husband and I are so excited and the kids are too!  Her cupcakes were the bomb and keeping them a secret for only 24 hours was the funniest part.

Oh… And for those of you that decided not to check out the video… Here is a quick shot of the cupcakes 🙂

  6. Oh Sweetie…
Congratulations. I am so thrilled for you all. I loved the video, it
is priceless. The sonograms today are so wonderful for you
gals, they didn’t even do an ultrasound 35 years ago unless
they suspected a problem with the baby. I never knew until the
kids were born. I love it that you all can find out ahead of time.
