This project was long over due. My under the stairs closet was a pit stop for everyone’s junk (wrapping paper, old VHS tapes, lawn chairs, party decoration, letterman jackets, raincoats, scarves, vacuum cleaner and etc). I wish I had taken a picture of all the junk in that closet. It was so bad I could barely close the door. After tons of research on how to’s I found Shanty 2 Chic’s craft closet redo.
For my closet, I built 3 shelves on the left side of closet, I should have built 4 there was plenty room for another shelve. I may have to consider putting another one. Anyway, on the right side I put a wall rack for hanging my iron board, broom and dust pan, etc. I also painted the closet and shelves dove white. Under 4 of the upper stairs I made shelves that now house all my rolls wrapping paper. I also had a light installed. It makes such a huge difference. Now, I can walk all the way in and find or store what I am looking for without having to curse everytime something fell on my toes or head. Everytime I step in the closet, I come out with a smile on my face telling everyone have I told you all how much “I LOVE MY CLOSET”.
