Time to Complete: 16 hours

Total Cost: $180.00

Finishing Details:
This was the second thing I’ve ever built by myself and the instructions were fabulous! The whole project is made from framing-grade pine lumber (to keep the costs down). I modified the plan so I could utilize some galvanized steel roofing as the front and side panels and I used 2×4’s and 2×6’s to make the top instead of the tile (I was looking for a more rustic finish). The paint/stain finish on the top was adopted from http://realitydaydream.com/how-to-make-your-own-barn-boards-diy/ using some paints and stains that we had on hand. To protect it I applied 6 coats of Minwax indoor/outdoor spar urethane in semi-gloss to the top, 1 coat on the sides, and 3 coats on the shelves.
