I found this old door in the out building of the 100 year old house I had purchased. My brother and I turned it into a place to hang keys, purses, scarves and coats. Anything you want to put away or take off as you come in the door. My goal was to make a Mudd room. A place to take your shoes and jacket off. Hang your keys and purse. I found an old bench someone was throwing out so I placed it in front of the old door that I had placed on the wall. Now we had a place to sit to take our shoes off and put them on. I used polyurethane to cover the old door and bench because I like the distressed look and I didn't want any of the paint to chip. I used a wood wine rack for our shoes, also pictured.
