I have learned never to turn down FREE items! I may not have a vision for it yet but if it sits in the garage long enough and idea will follow!!! This is how I ended up with my tree topper this Christmas!
My mom changes her tree decor a little every year so she set her old topper out for me (she actually thought I wouldn’t want it….nothing a little spray paint magic can’t handle!)
The gold glitter didn’t fit with my tree decor
so armed with a can of our favorite color of Rust-Oleum ~ Heirloom White ~ I got to work!
Just a few coats inside and out!
Never underestimate the power of twine ~ 4ply randomly wrapped and secured to the backside with hot glue!
She’s ready for her debut!!!

Great idea! I always forget about painting things until after I've given it away or sold it at a garage sale.
When the highlight of your shopping experience is not the $100 shoes you got for $12.50 or the $60 shirt for $5 but the 3M sanding block sander on clearance for $2.99, does that mean you've been Shantified!!!!

…on a side note- I'm in love with your blog… and have been spending hours looking at it! We live about an hour from a Hobby Lobby/Michaels, etc.
