Hey guys!  I wanted to quickly show you how I created my lace pillows I showed you in my Master Bedroom post.

I originally sewed the euro shams I used with my last bedding.  I wanted to somehow reuse these shams and just cover the fronts which led me to these.

I found a great fabric at Hobby Lobby that is a utility fabric.  It was by the interfacing and it resembles linen (without the wrinkling!)

It was $3.99 a yard and I bought a yard for each pillow.  I laid my old shams down on my fabric and cut a square 2″ larger.

I found my trim at Hobby Lobby for $4.99 a yard and used a 40% coupon for it.

I sewed my trim straight down the center of my squares.  If you don’t sew this would be a great time to whip out the fabric glue!

I also ran all of my raw edges through my serger to keep them from fraying.  You can also fold each edge twice under but this saved me time.  After I had that done I laid my square face down and placed my old sham on top with the back facing up.

In walks old trusty…

I knew I would be the only one to see the back so I wasn’t at all concerned.  I glued down my tops and bottoms first and then folded and glued the sides.

Now, for those of you wondering how it washes…

From my experience hot glue washes great.  I do not dry it.  I let them air dry and use a low setting on the iron if I need to.  I hot glued a flower on E’s shirt HERE and it has washed great!  Holds up perfect.

That’s it.  Pretty simple 🙂  I put my old pillows back in my new shams and I was set to go.  Plus, I saved lots of money and even more time… Whoop!!

Here they are all finished!

Hope you like them!

We will be announcing our Silhouette machine giveaway on Thursday!  Stay tuned!!  Thanks for stopping by!
