Oooooh it feels so good to be back!!! First, we want to thank all of you for your patience as we got the site back up. We outgrew our old site, and we are so happy to be back up and running again!!

Recently I was challenged by Apartment Guide to revamp a space with $100! My kind of challenge!

I chose to work with a space in my living room that I was tired of looking at. Do you have spaces like that?? I was ‘over’ it!

Here is what it looked like before I did my little revamp…

One of my favorite ways to decorate on a budget is to use what I already have! A good coat of paint and some new fabric can go a long way on a little budget!

Here is my space after…

Let me show you how I did it!

I found this great $20 pillow at Target…Whoop!

I used a few yards of fabric, and some serious elbow grease to recover the recliner (which, by the way, was a hand-me-down ;-))

I found my great lamp for $20 at Home Goods… Love me some Home Goods! They are opening one dangerously close to my house too…..

The little mercury glass bird was a $3 find at a consignment store!

My table got 2 coats of cream paint… Doesn’t it just look happier??

And I topped the whole thing off with one of my latest projects!

What do you think?? I love how revamping your own pieces, finding great bargains at discount stores, and making your own goodies can really transform your space for cheap!

Thank you SO much to those of you who entered our Home Depot Gift Card giveaway!

Our winner is…

  1. Southlake HomeGoods baby! Can’t wait! I figured out not too long ago that I used to babysit for your J cousins, and I remember your family when you were all preschoolers. You were always so cute with matching outfits and hairbows! Hard to believe you are grown with bunches of kids!

    1. Oh that’s awesomee Laura! By the way you described us you definitely have the right family :-)! Thanks so much for your message!

  2. Wow! What a great little update. I like the idea of working on and finishing a smaller part instead of the whole room. Also can you tell me what the flooring is?

  3. Very nice refresh job. I need to visit Homegoods (thankfully it is over an hour away, keeps me in check) and find a couple lamps. I desperately need a couple for the buffet I am building.
