Hey there! I am so happy to finally get around to my guest bathroom. I haven’t done a thing to it since we moved in 3 years ago and it’s the one room we have the most visitors to!
This is the before…. I don’t like the paint color, there is no natural light and it looks like the after-thought it was;)
Here it is after the completed first phase of the makeover.
I chose Dutch Boy Route 66-f14-3 in a satin finish for the walls. (I was inspired by Whit’s living room walls😉 This bathroom is very small with zero natural light and this color was perfect to lighten and brighten it up:)
I also framed the existing builder grade mirror with preprimed, MDF, 1×4″ boards. I painted them with a latex paint that I had matched to my trim. If you would like the full tutorial on the mirror framing, you can check out my Master Bathroom Mirror. It is a cheap and easy way to fancy up those builder-grade mirrors;)
I’ll be back to share the updates as I get to them. I am so motivated to make this a welcoming guest bathroom and I can’t wait to add to it!
Thanks so much!
Ashley
I’m doing my bathroom gray too. Love to know where you got the light fixture?
Very nice! I love gray and white together 🙂
I actually have a swatch of this color – do you feel its a true gray? It looks a little taupe-ish when I have it next to some other grays…
I love that paint color,, cant wait to see more as you finish decorating.
i painted my bathroom almost that same color!!
Oh I love that grey! We have a lot of that color in our house as well. Such a great neutral;)
I LOVE it! I have 2 rooms with walls a similar color (as your original) and I want them painted SO bad! I don’t like the color cast it leaves. I love how the gray REALLY lightens up the room! It’s fabulous!
Fabulous new color and I love the white trim on the mirror. Great start, look forward to the rest. Hugs, Marty
