Hi friends!

I am so excited to share my son’s desk on Friday!  I have been busy getting it all finished up for pictures, but I thought I would sneak in one little teaser before then.

My kids love art.  They love coloring on just about anything (including furniture).  I am always looking for fun ways to decorate and organize at the same time, which leads me to my next little project.  I found a fun way to organize his art supplies and here is how it turned out…

Art Supply Buckets

This might be the easiest and cheapest tutorial ever… Woohoo!

I found these great buckets in Target’s dollar section… Just found them this week and they had LOTS in different colors.

So cute and a buck… Love them.

They were a little bright for his room so I  knew exactly what to use…

I gave them each a coat of spray paint and attached my hooks while they dried!

I used these cute little black hooks from Hobby Lobby.  They were half off so I got them for $1.50 a piece… Woohoo!

I used black drywall screws and attached them directly to the wall.  If you are worried about the weight of the bucket, you can put an anchor into the wall first.  I hung all my hooks 6″ apart.

Then I hung my new “granite” buckets…

That is it.  Simple, cheap but OH SO Cute!  I love how it adds just a bit of character to this space.  Plus, it’s all out of the baby’s reach.  Win win.

Here are just a few more pictures….

I am so excited to share the bottom half of these photos with you on Friday!  I LOVE his desk.  It’s so perfect for his room, but I might just steal it for my own.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a great day!

  7. When are you going to give us a tour? You are a rock star girl! I literally check your blog every morning. On another note, is there a particular model of Kreg Jig you recommend?

  8. I have had that idea for a long time! I didn’t do it, because I didn’t want the little guy getting into it all. Now he is old enough, but I have a one year old who would destroy my house. Still gotta keep that kind of stuff up. I even bought the buckets from the dollar spot at Target way back. Great minds think a like ;). Looks super cute.
