Hey there!  So, remember my Pumpkin Planter Box I shared last week?  Well, I wanted to add a little something to it!

Easy Fall Decor

I made this fun Wooden Fall Sign for free with scrap wood!

Supplies for Wooden Sign

I lucked out and didn’t need to make any cuts.  I used a 1×2 and a 1×8!

Rust-Oleum Dark Walnut

I brushed on 1 coat of Rust-Oleum Dark Walnut stain, with a foam brush.  Let it dry for about 5 minutes then wipe with a clean cloth.

How to Stencil

Once the stain was dry, I made a stencil with my Silhouette.  (If you do not own a Silhouette, you can find stencil letters at your local craft store) Winking smile I dry brushed with a cream colored acrylic paint.  (To dry brush just dab a bristle brush in the paint and dab on a scrap paper until the paint is almost dry, then dab over the stencil.  (You can check out my Stenciled Photo Frames for another tutorial on dry brushing)

DIY Fall Sign

To finish, I simply nailed the 1×8 to the 1×2.  I set it a little crooked for cutenessSmile
