Hey there! So, remember my Pumpkin Planter Box I shared last week? Well, I wanted to add a little something to it!
I made this fun Wooden Fall Sign for free with scrap wood!
I lucked out and didn’t need to make any cuts. I used a 1×2 and a 1×8!
I brushed on 1 coat of Rust-Oleum Dark Walnut stain, with a foam brush. Let it dry for about 5 minutes then wipe with a clean cloth.
Once the stain was dry, I made a stencil with my Silhouette. (If you do not own a Silhouette, you can find stencil letters at your local craft store) I dry brushed with a cream colored acrylic paint. (To dry brush just dab a bristle brush in the paint and dab on a scrap paper until the paint is almost dry, then dab over the stencil. (You can check out my Stenciled Photo Frames for another tutorial on dry brushing)
To finish, I simply nailed the 1×8 to the 1×2. I set it a little crooked for cuteness
I’m thinking of so many fun signs for the year! Thanks so much for stopping by!
