Hey guys!
We were so excited when Jamielyn asked us to come share over at iheartnaptime! She is one of our very favorite bloggers, and such a sweet person as well. This is the project I shared over at her site!
Today I will be sharing a super quick, simple and cheap Christmas project I did for my dining room! I knew I wanted to add a little something to my mirrors for the holidays, and this is what I came up with…
These are so simple, and can go just about anywhere!
Here is how I made them…
I started with 3 – 14″ grapevine wreaths from Hobby Lobby. Any craft store carries these. I found mine for around $2 a piece… Woohoo! I also bought 3 MDF wood letters from Hobby Lobby to spell out JOY. These were around $1.50 a piece.
To give my letters a little *bling* I used this fun new product!
Rust-Oleum Glitter Spray Paint in Silver
Love this stuff! Easy and oh so cute! I sprayed each letter and worked on the rest while they dried.
I found 3 Christmas picks with little pine cones at Hobby Lobby. These were my splurge at around $3 a piece, but I like how real they looked!
I used a small pair of pliers to cut little pieces like this off of each pick.
Then I used my hot glue gun to attach them to my wreaths. Just put a big glob (technical term) on the end of each piece and stick it into your wreath where you want it!
After my letters dried I added a big glob of glue to the back of them as well!
I glued a few extra pinecones to the bottom of each letter and I was set to go!
To hang mine I used wide burlap ribbon. I find mine at Michael’s, but I know Hobby Lobby has carried it as well!
That’s it! Simple!
Now let’s do the math…
Wreaths – $6
Letters – $4.50
Picks – $9
Paint – $4
Under $24 for all 3 wreaths… LOVE that! Fits my shanty budget quite nice!
Here are a few more shots…
Thanks so much for stopping by! I would love for you to share and PIN these below! Have a great Monday!

I know I’m a little late to the game but I just came across your lovely JOY wreath creation. I am wondering how you affixed the wreaths to the mirrors on top, please? Have a delightful Christmas!
I love these! I just went to Michaels to buy the supplies and spent a little over $40.
Hello, I have recently found your site through Pinterest and have absolutely fallen in love with your projects. I adore your wreath collection and think you guys should just go ahead and keep making them and showing them. I think this will be the first project I do of yours but I promise it won’t be the last. I love that you guys are moms and probably have hectic lives and I know if you can make your home beautiful on a budget so can I. I’m about to get my own older home with tons of character and your projects are giving me such excitement as I begin to decorate and make it truly mine. Thanks once again. I shall be a frequent commenter.
