Hey friends!

We are getting close to wrapping up our 12 Days of Christmas Event!  Welcome to Day 11!

One of my most used ‘power tools’ in my house is definitely my Crock Pot!  With 5 kiddos and a hubby to feed, I put mine to use often.  😉

My family loves when I make chicken & dumplings in the winter.  This recipe is super simple, but tastes like you slaved all day over a stove.  I like my recipes to be just like my projects…. Cheap and easy, but amazing at the same time!

1 lb boneless-skinless chicken breasts

1 can Cream of Chicken Soup

1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup

2 cans of Chicken Broth

2 Tablespoons of butter

1 teaspoons black pepper

1 teaspoon cumin

1 to 1.5 teaspoons Cavender’s Greek Seasoning (this stuff is the bomb)

1.5 teaspoon parsley

1 16oz can of Grand’s Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits

*You can also add a can of mixed veggies if you want.  My kiddos prefer it without… Of course 😉

  1. This looks super easy–I’ll have to try your version…as soon as I get some Greek seasoning! I LOVE my crockpot! Thanks for a chance to win!

And…Mary Did You Know? is my favorite Christmas song, altho is it considered a carol?

  2. Looks yummy. May try this since I do not know how to make dumplings.

Enjoying your 12 days of Christmas. Great job.

  3. This looks delicious. I love chicken and dumplings… I made some this past week but this recipe looks so much easier, especially with the crock pot!

  4. Awesome, this sounds yummy. Think I’ll go make some oh, that’s right, I don’t have a crock pot to make it in.

  5. I usually do everything by scratch, but when I am in a hurry, I put enough water to cover the chicken, plus three extra cups with two packets of county gravy from the gravy section. There’s usually dumplings for less than the cost of biscuits in the frozen food section and you can pop those in thirds and dump. Making it gluten free is a bit different though. 😉

  6. This sounds so delicious! I’ve never made dumplings before but you broke it down so easily!

    And… what. a. giveaway! Swoon…

  7. This sounds wonderful for cold days. I think even my extremely picky husband will eat this! You must get up very early to make this recipe though. Btw, I follow you on Google and fb too. Love your site!

    1. Oh you are sweet Debi!! My hubby is hard to really please, but asks for this. I bet yours will love it too 😉

  8. Oh, Im going to have to try this, I have every thing but the greek seasoning. I have Everglades instead, I wonder if that will work.

  9. I need a programable crockpot. I use my little one a lot. I’ve made this recipe but you’ve added some interesting variations that I’m going to try. Thanks.

  10. Sounds delicious. Do you think the greek seasoning found at every grocery store? I’ve never heard of it before.

  11. This is a fav with my husband too. And I’ve made it for friends. It does not disappoint! Side question – I have made your test tube flower vase (love it), and I was just wondering how you girls stored yours. I want to do something a little different for my Christmas centerpiece, but wasn’t quite sure how to store the tes t tubes. Also, did you make anything out of the extra test tube(s)?

    1. When I was done with mine I used it in a different room. I would suggest wrapping up your tubes in paper to store them away and the base can store easily wherever you can squeeze it! HTH!!

  12. On an unrelated note, I love your blog and try to read it often, however it takes for….ev…..er to load now. Is it just me? All the other blogs I read don’t take as long.

    1. Our traffic has grown substantially over the last few weeks. We are in the process of getting it all worked out! Thanks for being patient with us 🙂
