Happy Friday!  Can’t believe we are already at Day 7 of the 12 Days of Christmas!

12DaysCOUNTER7

For Day 7, I chose to share an easy and cheap way to add a little fun to your Christmas mealsWinking smile

place holder diy

These fun label/place holders are quick, easy and so cheap!  They are a great way to dress up a table and make it look like you went to a lot of workWinking smile

Here’s how you can easily make your own:

2 by 4

Purchase 1 2×4 @ 8ft. long from your local hardware store.

cut blocks

This is the perfect saw for this project.  It is inexpensive and easy to use ~ great start if you are new to wood working!

Rustoleum heirloom white

I painted my blocks with a VERY favorite, Rust-Oleum Heirloom White spray paint (2 coats).

distress edges

I use 80-grit sand paper in my 3M sanding block to distress the edges.

stain edges

After distressing, I follow-up with one coat of Rust-Oleum Early American Stain.  Apply a small amount with a foam brush and wipe away after 5 minutes.  (Tip:  stain will get all over the blocks when you wipe away and that is even better!)

card holders

These are the card holders I purchased and I love them!  I have ordered them several times for previous projects!

Now for the labelsWinking smile

printables

These are so versatile and could be used all around the houseSmile
