Hey friends!
I hope you are all having an awesome week! I am here today to share my DIY Hot Glue Gun Holder! This baby is something every girl needs!
My Meme gave me a glue gun holder years ago. I loved the idea, but there were things about it that didn’t work so well either. So… I came up with a ‘Shanty’ version we can all make together!
This is such an easy project, and would make a great ‘make & take’ for a girl’s craft night!
So… Let’s get started!
For those of you that don’t own a saw, this is a perfect one for you!
This is actually the saw that I started with before getting my ‘big daddy’ saw, and I still put this to use. You just mark your cut line with a pencil, and saw the board on your line! Easy and NOT scary… Promise!
See… Told you this was simple! I LOVE mine! I use it every time I pull my hot glue gun out. It keeps it standing up and when the glue piles up on the tile, you can just peel it off easily after it dries. The bomb.
Here are a few more shots of mine in action ;-)!
Hope you like it! If you purchase the materials needed to make this, you can easily make 8 or so for right around $1 a piece… Woohoo!!
Thanks SO much for stopping by! I would LOVE for you to PIN and share this baby below! Have an awesome Wednesday!

🙁 i tried making this tonight and it sucked 🙁 the outcome is WAY to big for my hot glue gun and everything just seems really off this makes me sad because i went out and got all the stuff from the store to make it all well guess thats a lesson learned .. maybe ill find a better glue gun that will fit it so it dont feel its a complete waste :/
Yes Alexis all glue guns are different sizes which is why I stated that mine was my favorite $5 glue gun from Walmart. It’s a cheap glue gun that works really well. Thanks for your sweet message. Happy 4th!
Thanks shanty i must have missed that part but i need a new glue gun any way so i guess ill go get me one THANK YOU 🙂 i cant wait to make this work 🙂 but now im also going to find a way to make it for my smaller gun now too ..

I used the plans at www. WoodworkPlans.info for this project because they are much better – highly recommended you check those out too – it’s just a much better plan. They are detailed and super easy to read and understand unlike several others I found online. The amount of plans there is mind-boggling… there’s like 16,000 plans or something like that for tons of different projects. Definitely enough to keep me busy with projects for many more years to come haha

I really love that the way you build a hot glue gun stand is by using hot glue! It was so easy! My boys and I built it for my husband for fathers day.
Great idea. I am making several , one for me and a couple for family and friends. Thanks a bunch!
Love this project! Thanks for sharing the instructions. Every crafter needs one of these.
I made this. It was so easy and I will be making more for friends and family. Thank you for the idea.
Love it! Is this tile 3″ x 3″?
This is perfect! I’m using a disposable plate and the gun won’t stand up, of course. I will be doing something like this, great idea! Thanks, I’ve pinned.
Debbie 🙂
Pinned & recreated within a week…such a great idea and SO easy…a million thanks!! Here’s my blog post about it, linked back up to you as well 😉

What a fantastic idea- I need to make one of these asap! Thanks for sharing this great tutorial. : )
Awesome!!!!
This is based in so much common sense that you would’ve thought there would be many in stores. But I’ve never seen such a thing – always needed something like it – and think I won’t be able to live much longer without it. Brilliant.
Love this! I came over from Pinterest.
So clever!
Perfect idea…gotta make one!
I can’t believe I haven’t seen this before! Such a good idea! And it was just added to my To Do List!
