  699. Judy on December 13, 2013 at 2:09 pm

Girls, I have done so many of you projects and I’m delighted with each one. I have been making the chalkboard serving trays for quite a while now and was asked to make more for Christmas presents. I switched it up a bit and made different lengths and sizes. Then mitered some stained trim and framed them out. They are wonderful! Another fav is the galvanized magnet board. I put some of my own into these as well. After priming I rolled on chalkboard paint, framed them and have wonderful message boards. 2014! Tables and benches!

My first diy project will be new flooring for my parents. they’ve had the same gross carpet for over 20 years. I would love to put in wood flooring for them because they deserve it. They are the hardest working people I know and have always put their children first. It would be bittersweet that I would be doing this because my dad is usually the one who does diys but he recently got sick. Last year he had a brain aneurysm and was diagnosed with kidney disease. 🙁 He lost his job and my mom has been working twice as hard just to pay bills. It would be the biggest blessing for me to do this for them!
