Hey friends!

As many of you know, I have been in the process of giving my oldest daughter a new “tween” room!  I am so excited with how the space is coming together!  It’s an odd shaped room with little natural light, so I have to be strategic about what paint color I use in there.  I recently went to my vary FAV paint store to find the paint for this project…

I am a huge fan of this store.   I used to think ‘paint is paint… They are all the same…’   I learned a while back that with paint, you get what you pay for.  In my experience, Sherwin-Williams has the best paint out there.  It’s not too watery or too thick, and their color selection is AMAZING.

While searching through all of the colors, one of the employees came over to help me.  He asked me what I would be painting, and suggested different lines of their paint for  each project.  It was so refreshing to not be overwhelmed for once!

I really love their HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams line color line… Of course I was drawn to the neutral tones 😉

This gray is amazing!  It’s called Anonymous.

As a busy mom of 5, my favorite thing about this place is convenience!

I love that they keep track of what paint colors I use, and I can just call the store, order it and run in to pick it up.  Beats the heck out of chasing my kiddos at the paint table in other stores!  You hear me??

They also have a really awesome program called Paint Perks!  You guys need to check this out!  You can check it out on www.sherwin-williams.com!

Paint Perks by Sherwin Williams

Sign up is free!  They send you great deals and coupons to use in their store!  Can’t beat that.

They also give great tips and ideas as well as alerts when the store is having sales.

You get a $10 just for signing up, and the program will manage your projects and colors, plus save all of your purchases for 10 years.  I LOVE THAT.  To me, there is nothing worse than trying to remember the name of a paint color when you need it for touch up and can’t find it.  Problem solved.

Sign up today guys!  You will thank me! 🙂

This store has it all, and then some…

So… I picked a super cute blue color for this room!  It’s called Embellished Blue and we both love how it turned out!

And…. We are teaming up with our friends at S-W to do a great giveaway for you guys!  I will be sharing details on that next week!

  1. What SW paint (product & sheen) do you use on your walls & what paint (product & sheen) do you use on your furniture/cabinets?
I’ll be purchasing SW paint during their sale this weekend. Anonymous for the cabinets based on your recommendation – Thanks!

  2. Just FYI–the links to Paint Perks & SW in the blog don’t take you to the websites. They take you to a winner announcement page in your blog from February

  3. We have repainted many of our rooms with SW paints, including the bathrooms. Needless to say the quality and colour selection is amazing, price too. I hadn’t heard of Paint Perks so just signed up and will be making selections for the master bedroom. Getting tired of sage green. Any suggestions? We have dark maple furniture.
Thanks for all your great posts and creativity.

  4. It’s been a very long time since I shopped a Sherwin-Williams store and I had no idea they had all those goodies to go along with the paint! I know a lot of bloggers favor S-W so there must be something to the quality. This post of yours has really pushed me to make some decisions on colors…..that’s where I’ve been stumped….what color do I want to go with??? I’m 70, and really don’t have anyone to help me with painting projects, so when I decide, I only want to do it one time! LOL I love all that you two girls do and I’m trying to figure out how I can be just like you when I grow up ‘))

  5. I have used Sherwin Williams for the last 6 years and love it. My experience has always been great. Out of convenience, I tried Lowes paint once, and it reaffirmed why I like SW. Their outdoor line is what really impresses me. As I painted my back door, I could immediately tell the difference in quality. The old paint was chipping off from my dogs scratching and me constantly cleaning. This paint has endured the rough lifestyle gracefully. I am a SW fan!
PS, the blue you picked out is perfect for her room!
