Time to Complete: 8 hours

Total Cost: $60

Finishing Details:
I followed the Shanty 2 Chic plans for this table and tweaked it following Fire Finish Blog’s reader project submittal by using 2x’s for top and bottom shelf and opting for 2 legs instead of 3. I was able to complete this table in a few evenings after work and a Saturday afternoon. My Home Depot didn’t have the galvanized brackets in stock, so I opted for the brackets with black finish and I’m so glad that I did! I adore them with Minwax’s “Weathered Oak” stain, which I only did one coat of and assembled in my house before the stain was dry because I was so anxious to have it done!

  1. On your Sawhorse Console Table I cant seem to determine how you affix the top surface end pieces 161/2 x 6. I believe it is telling you to assemble these end pieces with glue and pocket hole screws but I don’t see how.
