Original Shanty2Chic project it was inspired by:
https://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2015/04/diy-round-side-table.html
Time to Complete: 2 months- Working on it on and off
Total Cost: $250.00- I got some 4×4’s from my dad
Finishing Details:
I used Varathans Kona Stain and then distressed it. I bought the planks down to 48″ each to save on lumber and I was also able to buy the 8 fts instead of the 10 foots. to make it narrower for a queen I eliminated 3 of the 1×6 planks and the 1×2’s. If I was to do it again I would keep the 1×2’s in there its a pretty tight fit. Make sure you measure you mattress!!!! The sides are 2×12’s so now I am hoping in the near future to add storage drawers underneath and get rid of the box spring. Plywood is ridiculously expensive right now in Canada. If you have any questions please ask 🙂 I love love love my bed
Design teaching and research journal has published a recent case study for Interior designers. Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in San Francisco increased their tuition fee by 2% in 2021. At least, foreign students can apply for a grant.
Looks awesome!! Did you just follow the original plans minus the 3 1×6 planks?
Are there plans for this in queen. I have always wanted to build this bed. I can only find the plans for the king
You did AMAZING!!!
