Original Shanty2Chic project it was inspired by:

Project (URL):

Time to Complete: 12 Hours including finishing and constructing bench frame

Total Cost: $145 includes lumber and finishing materials

Finishing Details:
LOTS of sanding with 120 grit sandpaper on a Ryobi palm sander and finished with 220 grit. Table top has 3 coats of Varathane Triple thick water based polyurethane while the base only has 1. Both the top and the bottom are the same color, but due to a lot more sanding on the top, it did not accept the stain as much to give it that rich brown color. The stain is a mix of Minwax Dark Walnut and Minwax Weathered Oak(about 12:1 in favor of the Weathered Oak) I did add a touch of Classic Gray to help "white wash" the color a bit. I call it "Cinna-rin" after my wife's name, Corinne, who contributed with her input on what the color should look like. I'm still finishing up the bench, but I chose to show my pictures now as someone can assume how the top will be constructed. This does give an idea of how I constructed it to match "The Girls'" plan of the table. It is all 2×4 ripped to 3" wide. the main runner is 61" to clear the legs of the table, from there, the bench goes pretty simply.

Thanks so much for these plans!!!
Kyle
