There isn’t a piece of furniture that we love building more than a dining table! We have built so many over the years and this DIY Fancy V Dining Table might just be one of our favorites!
We built it for under $100 and only 14 boards! Grab a cup of coffee and come build one with us! Just click the play button below to watch!
How fun was that!? Update: Free plans for the matching bench can be found HERE!

We love the combination of the modern lines with the rustic stain and hardware 😉 It gives the perfect rustic modern look and it would look great with so many different styles!
What color stain did you use ?
For the Fancy V Farmhouse Table: 1. What color is the stain? 2. Where can I find the hardware?
Is this table not extremely wobbly without a bottom support? I built the base out and seems like it is going to rock a lot.
Hi Bill,
I built this table too and was very worried about the legs. But once the top was on didn’t move an inch.
Good luck,
Mel
I just finished mine and there is play if you push on the top.
What color is the stain please love the color !
With all your lumber, do you rip both sides of them? (example: on the 2 x’s. you rip a 1/8th of an inch (saw blade) off each side to avoid the crumb catchers?
I just recently made not this table, but another one of their dining room tables and we ripped both sides to get it down to the 5″ and avoid crumb catchers.
What are the dimensions of the finished table?
I absolutely love everything that you guys do! I literally have a stack of printed out plans that I want to build, one of them is a little round double stack table that you guys did I want to do that and paying a Maltese cross on it for my husband for his office at the fire , the king size bed, The list is endless. The only thing stopping me from building all of this fabulous furniture is tools… LOL maybe one day you’ll keep it up you’re amazing
What was the stain color for this table?
Where can I find the link to the hardware?
Is there a link to purchase the decorative furniture nail heads? I didn’t find it embedded in this plans. I just finished this table and would like to add that touch to it.
Are the pin nails required for the V’s? Or would wood glue be enough to hold them in place
Good morning Ashley and whitney. I love your “V” farm table. I watch your DIY videos all thur time. Does this table fit 6 people? If not what measurements would I need for a table of 8 to 10 people.
I just built this table and it’s 9ft long. Enough fir 10 comfortably.
The plans say 84in. How is your table 9ft? Did you purposely make it longer?
Anyone find the link to the clavos?
If you ever want to do some freelance work in GERMANY…let me know you’ll have a place to stay!!! lol Love you gals’ work!!! Love the floating shelves!!! Rock it!
Can people sit at the end of the “fancy V dining table”?
With the plans as it now – I dont think it is meant to have people on the end. I’m in the process of building it now and looking at how I can modify the length to allow for it
I am thinking about building this table also. Did you end up building it and were you able to modify it to fit people on the ends?
Hi Brittany. I compared this one to other tables where you can sit at the ends, and to me it looks to me like the “V” leg sections just need to be placed further inward to the center of the table. That way there is more of an overhang on the tabletop for someone’s legs to fit under at the two ends. Hopefully that makes sense. I’m thinking of making it that way myself.
Would I be able to make a matching bench to go with it?
Love this table! Any way the plans can be altered to make the legs foldable? So the table can be used outdoor, and stored in the winter? Thanks!
hi, do you have pdf plans for this table by nay chance. thank you.
