It finally cooled off in Texas so I got busy installing cabinets for my shop at my new house! The @kregjig Cabinet Door Mounting Jig is a MUST for installing cabinet doors! It works as a second set of hands and holds the door in place (and in the right spot) so you can install them easily and correctly (the first time😏). A few months ago, my daughter Hayden decided to write a message to Chick-Fil-A corporate about her brother. My youngest son is autistic and also has a rare immune system disease called EoE. The challenges of both made eating foods very difficult and painful for him. Slowly, his list of safe foods he would eat dropped to just one… Chick-Fil-A waffle fries. Here is my daughter’s note to CFA…

Hey Chick-Fil-A :)... Not sure if anyone actually reads these messages, but I want to share my story about who I believe to be your most valued customer. Over the course of the past 2 years or so, my mom has gone through the Chick-Fil-A drive thru 2 times a day Monday-Friday and 3 times a day on Saturday. Without fail. You might imagine that my mother loves Chick-Fil-A, but not as much as my little brother. When my brother was diagnosed with severe autism in 2019, we knew that we were the perfect family for this little boy to be born into. Already having 5 other children, my mom did everything she could to make sure he received the accommodations and doctors he needed, but she couldn’t have planned for his steep decline in health in 2022. My brother would not eat anything. He was in and out of the hospital for asthma attacks, and he was underweight. Regardless, he was still the perfect boy we knew him as. My brother is considered “non-verbal” although he has a few words he communicates with, we are able to understand him without the use of words. Many days my mother would tirelessly go to the store or different food vendors in hopes that she could find something Jed would eat without getting sick or being upset. Until my mom ordered my brother a large waffle fry and small Sprite from Chick-Fil-A. (Jed has always loved Sprite :) ) We didn’t need Jed to use words for us to see that he was delighted. From that day forward, our daily trips to Chick-Fil-A began. Our local Chick-Fil-A knows my mother as well as other members of our family by name and always prepared fries bright and early every morning and evening after he finishes therapy… CONTINUED IN COMMENTS #chickfila #autism #eoe #kindness
