We love this kitchen renovation from the Davis home renovation that we did! This was a large renovation because the Davis family requested that we make their living room, kitchen and front entry room all one space and functional!

We removed the tiny island in the center of the kitchen. That meant moving the cooktop to the back wall. We also cut into the brick wall, a bit, and extended the length of the back cabinets and took them to the ceiling.

We tore the wall down between the kitchen and the living room which allowed us to extend the width of the island. This gave the Davis’ a huge island to eat and prep at.

This is a view from the living room into the kitchen. There was already a support beam on this side of the kitchen. We tore the wall out where the kitchen sink was and this opened the rooms up to each other.

We made the brick wall the backdrop for their eat-in kitchen. We built them a high back bench to define the space and add character and contrast to the brick wall.

We wrapped the support beams and post in oak and had them stained to match the new wood floors.

We added another support post on the other end of the kitchen and it framed out and defined the kitchen perfectly! Cabinet paint is one of our favorites, Anonymous by Sherwin Williams.
