Hey friends! Â Yes… You read that title correctly, although it’s still crazy to us to even write the words.
We are SO EXCITED to announce the air date of our new show on HGTV! Â The show is called Open Concept, and will be premiering Sunday, September 20th at 1pm CST / 2pm EST!

Sisters, Whitney and Ashley tear down the walls of Brooke and Dack’s boxy house. Four small rooms become one large open concept space that is the perfect home for entertaining. They use their mad carpentry skills to fill the home with 16 pieces of custom furniture they make for a fraction of the cost it would be in store. The end result is a stunning reveal of the living room, kitchen, family room and laundry.
  We were approached to do a show almost a year ago.  Before that, we had always said no to TV opportunities.  We have actually been approached several times in similar ways, but nothing felt right about the opportunities.  Something felt different about this one, and so we agreed to start the long (but amazing) journey of putting together a show.
Turns out our gut feelings were right. Â We could not have asked for a better team than we have been surrounded with. Â They are so incredibly good at what they do, and they do nothing but give you guys a very real taste of us and our lives. Â We thank God for this entire opportunity and have seen Him open doors we didn’t even know were there to be open. Â His hand has been on the entire thing. Â Our very favorite part?? We finally get to help YOU. Â That has been the best feeling in this whole thing. Â We really do get to use our skills now to go into other homes and change a family’s life. Â That’s ultimately why we started blogging, and now we get to take that to the next level.

After walking through the house, we did some interviews.  Can’t explain the expressions here… We make those a lot quite naturally… 🙂
And yesterday… Yesterday was demo day. Â Best day yet. Â We finally were able to see our vision for this house and family as we tore the walls down. Â I am seriously sore typing as I write this…. Even my fingers. Â The best workout really is tearing down walls… Trust.
 But, we will be sharing lots of fun updates on Instagram and Facebook, so follow us there!
And do know one more thing.  On our show… There will be furniture.  Lots of it. 🙂

It’s refreshing tho watch a show that’s totally upbeat and is the model of a good family – husband and wife very respectful,& in love, with 4 happy, healthy kids who feel like part of a team. Back @ you guy’s. I came across you through Ana White, about a year ago, and I also haven’t had the opportunity to build any of your pieces yet, but I continue to keep up with you guy’s because you truly give a sense of strength, faith, and inspiration to do, and have things, that most of us would not be able to attain. We are currently building a new home. My family has experienced some hardships and needed a fresh start. I am so tempted to build the furniture for in it but have not had the courage to take the next step. Maybe the show will give me that courage!! God speed…
