Hey there!  I just have to cut to the chase and show you the outdoor chandelier that I made this week…I’m too excited to wait!

Mason-Jar-CraftsI get giddy just looking at the picture!  This cutie was soooooo easy to make and it only cost me about $10!  Its the kind of project you can do with your friends on a craft night or you can have your kids help you because it’s that quick and easy!

Here’s how!

Let’s start with the Mason Jar Lanterns 🙂

suppliesI purchased a box of 12 mason jars at Wal-Mart for about $8.  We only need 4 for this project but it’s nice to have extra 🙂  I also purchased 16-gauge wire and small black chain from Lowe’s.

Cutting-Chain-LinksStart by cutting a chain with 13 links.  To cut it just bend the link, with pliers, until you can pull it off.

Chain-and-WireNow, cut about a 12″ piece of wire and thread each end of the chain on the wire.

Attaching-Wire-to-LanternWrap the wire around the neck of the mason jar

Twistingand twist the wire until the wire tightens snuggly around the mason jar.

Cut-Excess-WireThen, clip the wire with your pliers.

Mason-Jar-LanternBAM!  We have a Mason Jar Lantern (with many possibilities)!
