Hey friends! I want to share some super easy and cute ornaments I made today for the tree.  I recently came across THIS fabric online and bought some to use for my stockings (that I have yet to make)…

I love this company! Even the packaging is cute!

I had the itch to somehow get some of it on my tree, so here is what I came up with…

I started with a $4 piece of wood from Lowe’s.  It is 1/4 of an inch thick, 3″ wide and 4 ft long.  You can find these by the other boards.  I think Hobby Lobby sells craft wood that is similar but also more expensive.

I used my saw to cut several pieces about 5″ long.  You can easily use a small hand saw too because this wood is so thin.  My hand saw was $12 at Lowe’s.

I used Matte Mod Podge to attach my fabric.  I put a thin coat on one side of the wood.

Then, I layed a small piece of fabric just larger than the wood on top of it.

I used a thin coat of Mod Podge over the fabric as well and let it dry.

Once it dried I used a craft knife to cut my excess fabric.

And then used my drill to put a small hole on one side…

I used some thin twine to make a knot…

My last step was hanging them up!

What do you think??

Some things I love…

Cost- I basically made 8 ornaments for around $5!

Options – You can put any fabric on there!

Time – I made these babies in like 20 minutes!

That is my kind of project!  Hope you like them!

I have some other fun ones to share later this week!

Happy Wednesday!!

  1. Where did you find that fabric online? I have been looking for chevron fabric but I can only find it for $15 a yard and didn’t want to pay that much. Thanks

I was thinking of making some bags out of there prints but I’m not sure about washing and all. Do you have any experience with this?

  3. What hand saw do you have from Lowe’s if you don’t mind me asking? I have wanted to purchase a table saw for a while but those are expensive! When I read that you used your hand saw to cut the wood, I thought, “Duh! a hand saw would be perfect for crafts and things!”. Lovin your chevron ornaments!!!
