Laundry Room Decor & A Giveaway!!!

Ooooh… I love how this baby turned out!!
I love having a few hooks in my laundry room to hang clothes I don’t want going in the dryer.  I also had a big blank space that needed some filling.  My next project knocked out both problems!
I was so happy to find…
I looked through her goodies and found THIS laundry definition vinyl.  Love it!  The vinyl comes to you already cut to fit a 24 x 24″ board.  She has other sizes available as well!
This was super simple…
I started with a piece of MDF.  I used 3/4″ and used my circular saw to cut it but you can have Lowe’s or Home Depot cut yours for you.  Mine is 24″ x32″.
I found these great hooks at Hobby Lobby.

I used some 1″ wood screws to attach them to my board at the bottom.

Then I was ready for paint!

This is the spray paint I used…
And while it was drying I played with my helper…
Here is how the vinyl comes to you…
First, I peeled off the white backing paper.
Then, I just placed the words onto my board and pushed down really good to have it stick well.  I peeled off the clear paper and I was set!

It’s hard to get a great picture but this is where it is from a different angle…
Now here is the fun stuff…

  1. OMG! Love the idea and the RED! Just wish I had a laundry room (instead of closet) to hang such a lovely piece. Good job!

  2. Cute! I really love your doors, though with the oil-rubbed bronze hardware. 🙂 Is it just the lighting or are the doors and trim more of a creamy color? Do you know the paint name? (I am currently repainting all my doors.) Thanks!
