Hi all!  First off, I want to say thank you to all of you who rated our project online today!  Wow!!!!  You guys are really helping us out!!!!  Thanks so much!!!!!  Now for my latest project!  I’ve mentioned that early Christmas decorating is a family tradition going way back!  We have always put the trees up right after Halloween and it feels right to me!  So here I am again, early November decorating my Christmas Tree!

I had to start from scratch this year because ALL of our ornaments were strewn across Hwy 114 on moving day (note to self ~ do not put a lightweight rubbermaid container in the bed of a truck).  Thankfully they were of no sentimental value!  I was going to revamp them anyway to match my new color scheme!
Here is the first of the replacements!
I’m sure you all have these!
Pair it with a bunch of cream colored buttons and a hot glue gun!
Cut 6 long and 6 shorter pieces using a pair of wire cutters
and hot glue each piece around a large button alternating sizes.
more hot glue….
and sandwich the wires with another large button.
Glue the buttons to each wire creating a pattern…
and flip!  Copy the same pattern on the reverse side.
Now for the hangin’
Use a strand of 1ply jute twine and glue it between the top two buttons to hide the edge
and coil up to the tip of the wire.
Tie a knot at the top creating a loop for hanging.
Now that was painless!!!!
Can’t wait to hang it from my tree!!!
I have added these to our Etsy shop ~ The Shanty Shoppe ~ Where they are available for purchase!  Stop by and check them out!!!!
Also:  If you would still like to help us out with our contest we entered just scroll down to the next post and click the SOS button!  It will take you to the site where you can rate our project!  5 snowmen is the highest rating!!!!  Thanks guys!!!!!I will be linking up at the Shabby Nest for Frugal Friday!

  8. Love all the fun stuff you guys do! I was wondering though; where do you find all your finials? I have looked at Lowes, Michaels, Hobby Lobby. Everyone looks at me like I am crazy when I ask about them. At Lowes are they in a certain place? Can you help?
