What better way to start the week off than with an awesome giveaway and a before and after!! I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to make my bedroom “guest ready” with some great items from the Better Homes and Gardens line at Wal-Mart! I chose my master bedroom because it has been so neglected since we moved in our home. It was “that room” that I preferred not to show anyone because it just wasn’t “guest ready”. Well, I got the motivation with this great BHG challenge and I LOVE the items I found! I also chose to spruce up my master bath a bit because I am in the process of revamping it as well!
Here is the before of my master bedroom:
After I did a little BHG sprucing:
I added the two square, ruffled pillows and the two super cute drum shades and moved on to the bathroom:)
Before:
After a few BHG picks;)
The additions to the bathroom are the two iron sconces, the metal plate (2 per package) and…
these super cute candlesticks! Two rooms, guest ready for under $100!
Now here is the great part! One lucky winner will have the chance to make their home guest ready with a $100 Wal-Mart gift card from Better Homes and Gardens! To enter, just leave us a comment sharing the room in your home you would like to make guest ready and why! We will announce the winner a week from today!
Here are a few more pics of my master bedroom and bath! Good luck to all of you! Don’t forget to stop by and “like” the BHG Facebook fan page!
A huge thank you to BHG for helping me to make my master bedroom and bath guest ready! Now it’s your turn;)
Good luck!

I’d love to re-do my office, which also serves as a guest room. It needs some serious help!
Hi! I would like to make our bonus room more guest ready – we have a pull out couch in there but no bedding, side table or place for them to put their belongs!
Love the transformation! Beautiful room! Thank you so much for the awesome giveaway!
The room I would definitely redo would be the master bedroom. My husband is a Marine, and since we moved to a new duty station almost a year ago, he’s not been home enough to help decide on what to do for that room. The rest of the house is perfect, it is just our bedroom that lacks the decor. I’ve been tempted to just do whatever I want to it, but I want him to love it just as much as I do!
I’d like to revamp my kids’ room which doubles as our guest room!
My bedroom could use a little TLC.
We have just relocated to Columbia, TN from Georgia and I am having to completely rethink my “style” for this home that begs for a modern country chic feel. All of my husbands relatives are coming in mid December for a family Christmas. I painted the wood paneling in the geust room white but other than that this room is in DESPERATE need of help before the masses converge on my home!! Would REALLY love to win this makeover!! Love the post and all of your great ideas that inspire the rest of us!!
My guest bedroom is a mish mash of mostly leftover things. It definitely needs sprucing up. Thanks for the giveaway.
I would love to win the BHG prize as I would improve our master bedroom. It would be so fun! Your additions to your rooms looked great! Thanks, kradams54@hotmail.com
I would love to redo my guestroom that my younger sister uses. She has breast cancer and travels to my home to stay while she is receiving chemo treatments in Dallas. The room right now has a bed from my in-laws and a quilt from our mom. The walls are painted an awful peachy color. She needs/deserves a room that is relaxing and peaceful.
When my daughter moved out, her room was turned into my craft room. She moved back in and my crafts migrated to the garage in storage bins. She moved back out and it was turned into a guest room. After several more revolving door incidents, the room now only has a rickety old entertainment center and a folding table. I would usethe gift card to finally reclaim my creative space.
let’s see… i too would get after my guest bedroom. it is definitely the place where all our extras go to die. i could also spruce up my master that is a work in progress. thanks BHG for the giveaway!
I would finally get to work on my daughters room (like I’ve been promising!).
Love this idea! Definitely our master bedroom! It’s been neglected ever since my grandkids lives with us and sleep in our room. 🙁 We have 2 bedrooms upstairs that need to be ready for my grandkids to have their own room. I think it’s time to get “our” room back!!! I’m hoping I win this contest!!!
I need to do my master bedroom/bath also, but I know it would probably go towards changing my little girls room. She’s not so little anymore and thinks she needs an update in her room.
Our master bedroom is the one space we have done absolutely nothing with – would love to give it some new life!
