What better way to start the week off than with an awesome giveaway and a before and after!! I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to make my bedroom “guest ready” with some great items from the Better Homes and Gardens line at Wal-Mart! I chose my master bedroom because it has been so neglected since we moved in our home. It was “that room” that I preferred not to show anyone because it just wasn’t “guest ready”. Well, I got the motivation with this great BHG challenge and I LOVE the items I found! I also chose to spruce up my master bath a bit because I am in the process of revamping it as well!
Here is the before of my master bedroom:
After I did a little BHG sprucing:
I added the two square, ruffled pillows and the two super cute drum shades and moved on to the bathroom:)
Before:
After a few BHG picks;)
The additions to the bathroom are the two iron sconces, the metal plate (2 per package) and…
these super cute candlesticks! Two rooms, guest ready for under $100!
Now here is the great part! One lucky winner will have the chance to make their home guest ready with a $100 Wal-Mart gift card from Better Homes and Gardens! To enter, just leave us a comment sharing the room in your home you would like to make guest ready and why! We will announce the winner a week from today!
Here are a few more pics of my master bedroom and bath! Good luck to all of you! Don’t forget to stop by and “like” the BHG Facebook fan page!
A huge thank you to BHG for helping me to make my master bedroom and bath guest ready! Now it’s your turn;)
Good luck!

I’d redo the living room. So outdated! Thanks for the giveaway!
Um …. does “every room in my house” count?
I love your new accessories! Super cute! I would LOVE to five my master bedroom a little extra loving!
Great giveaway! Thanks!
How about…my guest room? 🙂 It’s really a toss-up between the master bedroom and the guest room/nursery, but guests are going to see the guest room more than the master. And the bed has one pillow, nothing on the walls, an exposed mattress frame, no color…
Thanks for the giveaway, and I have to add that I LOVE the monogram above your bed! Haven’t seen one like it before, and it is really just lovely.
I would love to redo my bedroom. Love the rooms redo you did.
Why is it the master bedroom is the last one to receive the re-model/ updates. The kids all have comfy cute rooms, why not me?
I would love to spruce up my master bedroom. It could really use it.
I would love to be able to do my oldest daughters room over. She is away at college and her room could use an update.
I would make over my living room and bedrooms. We have lived in 312 squ feet for a few months and gotten rid of so much before we moved. We are finally going to be getting a bigger place and I’ll have 1200 squ feet to decorate… I’ll need all the help I can get!
I would like to make our main bathroom ” guest ready”. We are in the middle of a complete gut reno on our bathroom and I would love to get accessories to dress it up when its finished. Our house is almost 90 years old so there is so master bathroom. So this is the bathroom for us and guests (besides our half bath). It would be so nice to decorate it when its finished. We are going with a classic farmhouse look with beadboard and bronze finishes. Great giveaway!
I would love to spruce up our loft and upstairs bathroom…they are the two areas our guests use the most when we have people come to visit! Thanks for the chance to win!
Of all the rooms in our house, our master bedroom seems to always get neglected. I would love to make that room peaceful, romantic and relaxing – a space just for my husband and me so we can retreat from the demands of daily life. It seems with kids they usually take priority, but this time I want us to be the proirity!
I would love to makeover my master bedroom. It is the one room that has never been decorated since my husband and I have been married, which is 17 years.
I would love to update my master and guest bedrooms, they so need it.
I liked BHG on FB.
