This post came at the PERFECT time, especially your “friends that craft together, stay together” title! My dear friend Breanne and I have known each other since the 6th grade, for 12 years now. We’ve stayed in contact throughout those years (sometimes just a few phone calls, others we were inseparable. Flashback to today: through the Lord’s great design we’ve somehow managed to introduce each other to our husbands who are both Marine Corps aviators, have both moved away from family and friends to live the military lifestyle, and have grown so much in The Lord together to provide strength and encouragement through the experiences and struggles of a military spouse. Another aspect of our friendship together is that we are “craftaholics” as you might say 🙂 we have taken the fact that as a military spouse moving around so much and being on a tight budget that you have to create what you like vs purchasing most of the time. And crafting is just plain fun! We’ve built our own kitchen tables, wine racks, console and side tables, picture frames and picture ledges, all from your site and plans from Ana White. We have strewn Shanty 2 chic ideas and inspiration all over our Pinterest sites, Instagrams, and Facebooks. You ladies have inspired our friendship to a completely different level via creating and building together! It is quite possible that our husbands could be stationed together in the future due to their line of work in the military. We often joke that if this happens, we would love it more than anything and craft together just like the Shanty sisters!! Truly, it is our dream! It just so happens that we both also wanted a vinyl cutting machine for Christmas to create hand built signs and anything imaginable with them. My family knows I love to build so I received gift cards to Lowes instead, and surely you can’t purchase a Silhouette there. A spouse where I am stationed here has the Silhouette, and I’ve fallen in love with it while watching her use it. Since then I told my dear friend Bre about it, and she has changed her mind on the Cricut to the Silhouette because you can personalize a lot more with it! I apologize for the huge lengthy entry on your blog, but I thought a “I would love to have a Silhouette” just couldn’t do it justice with how perfect the timing of this giveaway is! Needless to say, Bre and I would both end up with some awesome Silhouettes and many many more crafting projects to experience together! Thank you so much for this opportunity! -Audrey Blank
