Hey guys! Hope you all had a great Wednesday 🙂
I have a fun project to share today!
I started with a 1×8 board from Lowe’s that I cut to about 2′ long. I used a different paint method on this board and I love how it turned out so I am going to share it with you in my next post. So for now… Here is my board after it is painted and ready to go.
I also purchased 3 hooks and a pipe clamp from Lowe’s. You can find the pipe clamps in the plumbing section. I bought the smallest 3″ clamp and it was under $2.
My next step was attaching them to my board. I used my drill to attach my hooks first.
Then it was time to attach the clamp. After attempting to drill a hole in the darn thing for 30 minutes I decided to hammer a hole in it instead. I just put a thick nail on one of the little openings and hit it hard with a hammer. Done. I then wished I would have tried that 30 minutes ago.
I used a 3/4″ wood screw to attach it to my board.
Finally, I added to picture hangers to the back of it and hung it up. Mine is on the wall leading just into the garage. I dropped a mason jar into the ring and added a few cotton blossom twigs I found at Michael’s.
I love it. It makes me happy when I look at it. 🙂
I’m thinking these would be super cute hand towel hooks for the bathroom. What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by!
I will show you my new paint method in my next post so stay tuned. It’s super easy and distresses perfectly… Whoop!

I made this tonight and it turned out beautifully. I actually glued a few of the flowers onto the screw of the pipe fitter. Looks great!
where do you get your fake flowers? They look amazing and i can never find any that look so real!
Michael’s! They are cherry blossoms 🙂
HI! I just found your blog through the girl creative and I love it! I especially love this project, I’m hoping to try it out for myself! Thanks for the inspiration!

I just made this (minus the mason jar) for the guest bathroom. No more towels on the floor, yay! Thank you so much for inspiring so many of us to create and beautify our homes. I am grateful for you two.
This is so darn cute!
That is just darling. I like the surprise vase at the end.
i saw something similar in a store recently…no hooks just three of the rings with a bright flower pot in each with herbs for the kitchen. I like your idea with hooks too!
I loved this when I saw it! I Pinned it when I found it and finally got around to making one of my own. Thank you so much for the great idea!
Love this.
I so love that!! My tomorrow project for sure!! I need something like that in my bathroom 🙂
Just gorgeous! Thank you Whitney for the directions on this one 🙂 I used this for inspiration for our own mason jar coat rack here… http://lepetitesweetcupcakes.blogspot.com/2011/07/10-mason-jar-coat-rack.html
I LOVE it! I’m really liking the rustic pained wood too! Thanks for sharing!
