Finishing Details:
I shortened the length of the coffee table from the original plans to fit a loveseat. I had enough wood left over after making one and loved it so much that I decided to make another one! I left out the angled cuts on the feet on my first one and finished it with a gray stain and Minwax indoor/outdoor spar urethane in clear satin as its' home will be on a sun porch where there is no temperature control.
I finished the second one with a gray stain and then spray paint in heirloom white. I then used fine grit sandpaper to reveal the grain of the wood. Finally, I finished it with Minwax indoor/outdoor spar urethane in clear satin.
I love how both of them turned out and have already received many compliments from friends and neighbors!
