Finishing Details:
I decided not to stain the bed, but woodburned it instead. After the woodburning was complete I added 3 coats of satin polyurethane to it. I also shortened the height of the headboard and footboard by 6" because we didn't want it to look too large in our room. I loved working on this project and completed it just in time for my wedding a few weeks ago. My wife loves it just as much!
Could I ask you if you had issues with the width not properly fitting a king mattress (too wide)? I read that in reviews but I’m currently building mine to the plans and am a bit nervous.
