Laundry Room & A Giveaway!!

I have just a few more projects I am working on for my laundry room but I wanted to show you guys where I’m at now!
So… After priming and painting my cabinets I let everything dry overnight and used my ScotchBlue Edge Lock tape on them.
ScotchBlue recently sent me some of this awesome tape to get my opinion on it.  Many of you asked if it would work on walls as well.
Here are a few examples of the straight lines I ended up with…

I actually was super impressed with it.  I always have problems with paint bleeding under the tape but not with this stuff!  I love it!

So that’s it so far guys!  As I mentioned… I do have a few more projects I am working on for the wall to tie in the red just a bit more.  I will also share my how-to’s on what I have done so far later this week.

I have a question–if I have wood cabinets that are stained and sealed, what do you recommend for prep work to paint them? My husband says I have to strip and all that, but the primer you used seemed like it would be sufficient if I sanded it. I hope you can help me out.

The baskets on the open shelving look great and I love the bucket with the flowers in it. My fave thing though is the curtains on the door. Who doesn't love a little ticking fabric? I love it!

    I came across your blog while researching various types of “painter’s tape” and I actually quite like this site. I’m not a blogger, so I really do not get into all of this stuff, but would still like to know how the Edge Lock tape compared to the other types of tape you’ve used for painting. I am an avid painter myself. If I see a bare wall w/ no paint, I HAVE TO PAINT IT, lol. I absolutely love to paint rooms and such, although I do have bi-lateral carpel tunnel and tennis elbow, I can still paint a little at a time. Talk about taking forever to paint a room; I like the queen of “taking forever”, lol. Ok, that was really my question and only comment was about the tape, it’s just that I talk a lot so therefore, I type a lot, lol. Thanks for the information you share,

      Hey Angie!

      I do notice a small difference when working on textured walls but now that I have used it more I don’t know that the difference is worth the price. The edge lock is twice the price and I go through that stuff so quickly. Hope this helps and so glad you stopped by!!
