The supply list and cut list are super short on this one!

We started by joining our 2×4 together and drilling the holes for the rope.

Next we used our Kreg Jig to drill holes in our 3 smaller boards.

Next, we used 2.5″ pocket hole screws to attach the small boards to the two larger ones.

Final step!

We used our nailer and wood glue to attach the small front pieces to keep the jars on the shelves!

Done and done.

We used a really pretty grey stain by Varathane called Carbon Gray.

How easy is that?  And, you can use them to organize or decorate just about anything!

  1. We built this mason jar caddy and found it takes more than 2 ft of rope. Probably more like 3ft. Otherwise there’s not enough slack when hanging it up.

  2. I absolutely love this! I’m moving from Alaska to Arizona in a few months and leaving all of our furniture behind…which means I get to build all new stuff:) Your blog has given me lots of inspiration. I want to make 3 of these caddy to hang all next to each other outside.

  3. Where did you get that feather hook? I can’t find any good looking hooks anywhere that can actually hold a little weight.

  4. Always use wood conditioner on soft wood prior to staining. It prevents the stain from absorbing unevenly and looking blotchy.

      1. What would be a great way to restain something in a different color? I have a dark espresso ladder and would love for it to go this color.
