What better way to start the week off than with an awesome giveaway and a before and after!! I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to make my bedroom “guest ready” with some great items from the Better Homes and Gardens line at Wal-Mart! I chose my master bedroom because it has been so neglected since we moved in our home. It was “that room” that I preferred not to show anyone because it just wasn’t “guest ready”. Well, I got the motivation with this great BHG challenge and I LOVE the items I found! I also chose to spruce up my master bath a bit because I am in the process of revamping it as well!
Here is the before of my master bedroom:
After I did a little BHG sprucing:
I added the two square, ruffled pillows and the two super cute drum shades and moved on to the bathroom:)
Before:
After a few BHG picks;)
The additions to the bathroom are the two iron sconces, the metal plate (2 per package) and…
these super cute candlesticks! Two rooms, guest ready for under $100!
Now here is the great part! One lucky winner will have the chance to make their home guest ready with a $100 Wal-Mart gift card from Better Homes and Gardens! To enter, just leave us a comment sharing the room in your home you would like to make guest ready and why! We will announce the winner a week from today!
Here are a few more pics of my master bedroom and bath! Good luck to all of you! Don’t forget to stop by and “like” the BHG Facebook fan page!
A huge thank you to BHG for helping me to make my master bedroom and bath guest ready! Now it’s your turn;)
Good luck!

Oh, wow. Both step-sons’ rooms could use some energy. Pops of color on the walls would help. They need more storage, so a couple of shelves would be great. So many ideas… Thanks for offering the giveaway.
It would be a toss up between my family room or the kitchen!
I painted my master bedroom back in May, and still haven’t finished sprucing it up. I would love to add a new mirror in my entryway as well! Thanks for the great giveaway!
I’d have to choose either my living room or my master bedroom. Both could use some major help!!
Oh, we moved into our home 2 1/2 years ago and our guest room looks exactly the same! One black futon and two black bookcases…it could use some serious LOVE!!! What a fun giveaway 🙂
My guest bedroom needs an update. It’s so bad, I’m embarrassed to have guests! It needs to be decorated on purpose, not be filled with cast-offs from the rest of the house.
Our guest bedroom has a bed and a dresser, but it’s so BORING! White walls, and nothing hung up. I would love to create a nice retreat for our guests! Thank you for the opportunity! 🙂 BHG has some beautiful products at WalMart!
I have moved all the bedrooms around since my husband moved to a nursing facility. I would makeover one of the guest rooms to be an exercise room. Think that is possible?
I think I would change up our basement bath because it gets a lot of guest use…. and its UGLY!
It’s amazing how just a few small changes/additions can brighten and transform a room! Love what you did with the BHG items 🙂 Our bedroom is in desperate need of a little love, as is our hall bath. We’d like to feel like welcome guests in our own space! Here’s hoping…
It seems like most people would like to fix up their master bedroom, including me. I guess since it’s not a public room in the house, it gets less attention than living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.
My master bedroom definitely needs some help, but so does my kitchen. Decisions, decisions. I’ll go with my master bedroom.
I would love to spruce up my bathrooms, and my sewing room
I would really like to add a few things to my living room. It’s been neglected. Love those pillows.
Love all the updates you made! I really need a Master Bedroomm update. It’s the one room in the house that I’ve done nothing with.
