Hey guys!  We thought we would share some fun pics of our family vacation last week with you all!

We went to Gulf Shores, Alabama (Fort Morgan to be exact).  This was the first time we have ever taken a vacation all together! Our group included 3 sets of grandparents and all four sisters families (6 kids and 4 babies;)  This is a view from the third floor deck of the house we stayed at!

This was our home for 6 days!  It was the perfect layout for a group our size.  Every room had a king bed and a full private bath!  The kids got to have a sleepover every night in the common areas on the pull-outs and they LOVED that!

This house also had a private pool which was a must for us having all of the kids.  They like to play in the ocean and the sand but only for so long;)

The jellyfish joined us on our trip…  We caught a few but we were stung by more than we caught:/

Here’s our Bapa with his catch:)

A lot of our kids learned to boogie board for the first time!  This was the hit of the vacation:))

A little fun in the sun and some posing;)

Fun back at the house:)

That is our trip in a nutshell:)  We had the best time and we are so blessed that all of our kids could do this together.  We hope to have a repeat next year and make this a BIG family tradition (at the rate our families are growing, we will probably need to start finding larger houses to rent though;)

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!!  ~ Whit and Ash

  2. We have a large family also, 8 adults, 8 kids and 1 on the way!! We would love to do something like this next year, but have had trouble finding a place large enough for us. How did you find this place?

    1. I am from here and this particular rental is owned by a friend’s parents, They are Dr. and Mrs. Jeannie Brian in Fairhope AL . I don’t have their number on hand but it is easy to get if you call the directory. Hope this helps. Meg

  3. I love Gulf Shores. I am originally from Alabama and am very fond of the Alabama gulf coast. We used to call it the Red Neck Riviera 🙂

    1. LOL! We have heard it called that:) My immediate family has been 4 or 5 times but this was a first for the rest of the fam. It is the perfect place to vacation with family! The beaches and water are beautiful!!!!

  4. Looks like so much fun! How on earth did you all share the cooking/cleanup/shopping/childminding issues? I would love to read an entry about how you managed day-to-day living with so many people. Surely you had a system?

    1. Hey Sue! Great question and I didn’t think to even share that with you guys! It was actually very easy, I think because we all had our own space with our bedrooms and bathrooms, there were three common areas and each floor had a fridge. The cooking wasn’t an issue because our sister Kyndra married a culinary genious! He whipped up shrimp, fajitas and burgers while the others guys grilled and the woman made the sides. We grew up in a large family (5 siblings) so we are used to the craziness! That must have helped the situation;)

    1. They sure do Jan!!! I can’t believe how quickly time has gone by since my first son was born:( Thanks so much:)))
