Now, who doesn’t love a little garage organization??  I have been working on getting my shop revamped for the last few months.  I am slowly tackling every nook and cranny to make the most out of the space and use every inch 🙂  One of my latest projects to tackle was upgrading from the pegboard system I have been using as tool storage, to the Rubbermaid FastTrack system!  Can we talk about how much I LOVE this system??  Check out how I set it up!
This is my wall of tools that don’t get used as often… Minus the radio! Â I love how I can hang my radio and it’s perfectly in reach all the time!
And the hanging baskets are perfect for holding my bagged tools and shop towels.  I also keep my Clorox wipes in there for when I spill stain and paint… Which happens fairly often 😉
This system has been a lifesaver. Â No more stinkin’ silver pegboard hooks falling on the ground! Â Game changer. Â It was crazy easy to install too.
Everything runs on a rail system. Â Each rail is a silver metal piece that is covered by a black plastic piece that slides over it. Â The first step is attaching the silver rail to the wall. Â I found and marked the studs in my wall, and then used my impact driver to drill 2.5″ screws into the studs. Â A drill works perfectly for this part too! Â I used my level on this part as well to make sure each rail was straight.
After attaching the silver piece, you just slide on the black plastic piece right over it.
Then, each attachment just clicks onto the rail. Â SIMPLE. Â AWESOME.
And, the attachments easily slide on the rails making it super easy to customize. Â I love it. Â Check out the rest of the space!
Love how these little hooks hold my jigsaws and sander…
And remember my lumber storage rack I built?  I was using the pegboard system on the back to hold my drills and other tools I use on nearly every project.  Not anymore!
Ahhhhh it makes me so happy! Â You can find the system at lots of places like Home Depot, Target and online!
The best part?? Â I have teamed up with our friends at Rubbermaid to do a great giveaway for you guys! Â We are giving 5 lucky winners this FastTrack set!

WOW! That Rubbermaid FastTrack racking system is way better than the peg board I’m currently stuck with! Before I saw them on your blog I had no idea something like these even existed. Plus, I’m always hunting for my drill, or other power tools because I don’t have such a cool tool for hanging them all neatly. I definitely need these. I’m sure it will endear me to my hubby, too. He’s never happy with our messy/unorganized work station. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have these! I could even use one in our shed for our yard tools! Woohoo, just the thought of all that organization makes me giddy!
My husband spent his day off cleaning out our garage and reorganizing our space. My girls and I came home from school to see him drilling screws into the walls to hold our rakes, shovels, tools, bikes, etc… As we crawled into bed tonight he passed me our computer and showed me this post!! Wow. This system sure beats his drill and hook method. Please pick him (chris) he still has half of our garage still to do!! Nonetheless, thanks for sharing your ideas. -T 🙂
We recently moved having to live in a hotel for 6 months with 2 kids. Finally in our house and need to organize. Please pick me!!!
I love the idea you used to put it onto the side of your wood storage rack. I would use it to organize all my shovels and rakes and then another to organize my tools like you have.
We just moved into our new home recently and our garage is still a disaster. I know my husband would appreciate this for organizing his tools and yard supplies!
I for sure need to use it for my broom, rake, weed eater, but also some baskets to organize all of my rags and work clothes that I keep in the garage (I’ve determined that even after washed it’s best to keep them there).
Hopefully, the hubster would stop nagging me about my “organizational skills”. I just want one space! Is that too much to ask?! But, I’d put into order my garage/workshop/family room (really just comfiest couch ever, tv and fridge).
My husband could use this to organize his tools and get the garage all cleaned up. It would be a huge help for me to be able to find things again. On the other hand I could use this to organize my vinyls, paints, and other various craft items in my craft room along with my kids markers, chalk, and crayons. I’d use one in the garage just to organize the kids wall with all the kids toys and games, like horseshoes, washers, hold the corn hole bags and hang the boards. Would be a blessing to receive an awesome gift. My mind is going crazy with options!!!
I would use the fast track system to get some of my tools in a more accessible location so my wife can reach them. She says they are to far back over my workbench.
Our tools are a mess and a safety hazard!
oh my goodness! This is fabulous and would work perfect in our garage! We live on a farm so tools are in and out constantly. I’d love a stop for the items that do stick around. I think this system would also work awesome for all of my garden tools! You guys make me want to start asking for power tools for Christmas/birthdays! 🙂 LOVE your ideas!
This system would help me organize my husband’s tools.
I would use the the Rubbermaid FastTrack system to help make my garage not such a giant disaster area! The photo of the rack above made me completely envious. I would use it to hang our yard tools and other items that are currently on the ground Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.
