Now, who doesn’t love a little garage organization?? I have been working on getting my shop revamped for the last few months. I am slowly tackling every nook and cranny to make the most out of the space and use every inch 🙂 One of my latest projects to tackle was upgrading from the pegboard system I have been using as tool storage, to the Rubbermaid FastTrack system! Can we talk about how much I LOVE this system?? Check out how I set it up!
This is my wall of tools that don’t get used as often… Minus the radio! I love how I can hang my radio and it’s perfectly in reach all the time!
And the hanging baskets are perfect for holding my bagged tools and shop towels. I also keep my Clorox wipes in there for when I spill stain and paint… Which happens fairly often 😉
This system has been a lifesaver. No more stinkin’ silver pegboard hooks falling on the ground! Game changer. It was crazy easy to install too.
Everything runs on a rail system. Each rail is a silver metal piece that is covered by a black plastic piece that slides over it. The first step is attaching the silver rail to the wall. I found and marked the studs in my wall, and then used my impact driver to drill 2.5″ screws into the studs. A drill works perfectly for this part too! I used my level on this part as well to make sure each rail was straight.
After attaching the silver piece, you just slide on the black plastic piece right over it.
Then, each attachment just clicks onto the rail. SIMPLE. AWESOME.
And, the attachments easily slide on the rails making it super easy to customize. I love it. Check out the rest of the space!

And remember my lumber storage rack I built? I was using the pegboard system on the back to hold my drills and other tools I use on nearly every project. Not anymore!

We recently had to move in with the in-laws. I brought all of my tools and wood storage with me. But with 5 cars and toys for 3 kids the garage is over flowing leave very little for building. I would LOVE to have this to be able to organize!!!
I love the idea of putting the drills, etc on the back of the wood cart.

I would organize all my hand tools in the garage. The peg board just doesn’t cut it for larger items like drills, jig saws and my nail guns. I’m a freakishly organized lady anyway, and I think my shop should look just as put together. Let’s face it, i’m the one using the tools anyway 🙂

I would love to be blessed with this. I am a trying to organize my garage. I use to do woodworking and build things but when my ex husband left 6 years ago, I lost all my tools. Since finding Shanty 2 Chic I have started purchasing ryobi tools and have started woodworking again and want to create many new pieces for our new home. My 6 year old loves to help but my garage is very unorganized and I am starting from scratch on getting a system together! This would be a perfect system for the space!

We have a 2 car garage that needs to store 1 van, toys for 3 boys, yard equipment, AND my wood shop and lumber. I’m reorganizing every week, but it’s never good enough!

I’d definitely use this so I can #buildlikeagirl better! To do that, I need a clean and organized garage to work in. With this Rubbermaid Fast Track set, all of my tools and supplies can be organized and within arms reach. What a great product!

Yay! Giveaway! We are building our new house and should be done by late December or middle of January. We inherited a bunch of tools a couple of months ago which I am very excited about using in the new house, but our entire budget is going into the new house and our “little one ” arriving in the next 6 weeks (currently preggo), so no room in the budget for little extras like this so it will be a LONG time until we will be able to nicely organize all our tools and gadgets in the garage. Would love to reduce the impending stress of a messy garage! Keep up the great work and I’ll keep pinning your ideas for our new house!
We just purchased a new home. We are trying to organize the contents of a two car garage into a small storage shed. The Rubbermaid storage system would allow us to organize the contents of the shed quickly and efficiently so that we can find our supplies quickly. It would allow us to have a “home” for everything.
This Rubbermaid system would be so helpful to my husband as he renovates our bathroom! I would love to see his tools hanging on the wall in our garage as opposed to the floor of our guest bedroom!
