Now, who doesn’t love a little garage organization??  I have been working on getting my shop revamped for the last few months.  I am slowly tackling every nook and cranny to make the most out of the space and use every inch 🙂  One of my latest projects to tackle was upgrading from the pegboard system I have been using as tool storage, to the Rubbermaid FastTrack system!  Can we talk about how much I LOVE this system??  Check out how I set it up!
This is my wall of tools that don’t get used as often… Minus the radio! Â I love how I can hang my radio and it’s perfectly in reach all the time!
And the hanging baskets are perfect for holding my bagged tools and shop towels.  I also keep my Clorox wipes in there for when I spill stain and paint… Which happens fairly often 😉
This system has been a lifesaver. Â No more stinkin’ silver pegboard hooks falling on the ground! Â Game changer. Â It was crazy easy to install too.
Everything runs on a rail system. Â Each rail is a silver metal piece that is covered by a black plastic piece that slides over it. Â The first step is attaching the silver rail to the wall. Â I found and marked the studs in my wall, and then used my impact driver to drill 2.5″ screws into the studs. Â A drill works perfectly for this part too! Â I used my level on this part as well to make sure each rail was straight.
After attaching the silver piece, you just slide on the black plastic piece right over it.
Then, each attachment just clicks onto the rail. Â SIMPLE. Â AWESOME.
And, the attachments easily slide on the rails making it super easy to customize. Â I love it. Â Check out the rest of the space!

 And remember my lumber storage rack I built?  I was using the pegboard system on the back to hold my drills and other tools I use on nearly every project.  Not anymore!

I would use them to utilize the empty wall space we currently have. Being military, we move every 4 years. I can see a quality product like this lasting several installations. Would love to try it out

I would use them to help my husband organize his basement wood shop so I can borrow and return his tools more easilily.
My garage has been overtaken by my grown son who buys and sells motorcycle parts. That and a partial remodel in which half my small house had to be moved into the garage. I can’t find/reach Ryobi, Rigid, Porter Cable, Hitachi or DeWalt. I know, new or old, they are here somewhere.
I am moving to a new house in 5 days. I am determined to make my new house a home and I want to do it by building some of my own furniture. I am investing in my own set of tools once we get settled. I would use the storage system to finally start organizing our garage for my husband whom really deserves it. I never seem to have the time and I always shy away from the project due to lack of imagination, but after seeing this post I really feel ambitious to finally start our garage renovation.
Idk about the garage but the shed needs some major work! My hubby spends days out there “organizing” and i go out and there is stuff everywhere! He needs this for some motivation to actually get organizing and throwing useless things away! He has to learn he doesn’t have to keep every nail and screw!~

This is wonderful! I’m the lawn girl and power tool affectionato in our marriage and my current set-up is the pits! I’m using wobbly, old metal shelving units to store my tools. It’s an eyesore and completely ineffective with things stacked upon another. This could be the start of whipping this much used place into shape!
We would use this to organize my husbands tools in our garage! He has “reogranized” his workbench and tools (and the whole garage) at least 5 times in less than a year.
