New Home – More Progress

Hey guys!  If you have been keeping up with us on Instagram, you know that we have been making so much progress on our home.  I can’t even believe how quick the last couple of weeks have flown by!  If you missed my last home update you can check it out HERE!

Here’s what’s been going on at our casa!

STAIRS!  I think I was most excited about this addition during the framing!  This is the view from the front door.

Dining-RoomTo the right of the entry we have our dining room (many dreams have been had about what dining table I will build for this spot) 🙂

big-view-from-living-roomJust past the stairs, is the living room which is open to the kitchen.

View-from-Living-RoomView of the kitchen and laundry room (for anyone needing plans for a round table, I will soon be building one for our breakfast nook)!

View-From-KitchenLooking out from our kitchen into our living room.

MasterMaster bedroom!  I LOVE all the windows 🙂

Master-BathMaster shower and tub!

DormerI love the staggered siding on the dormer!!  Whit has the same on her dormers and I’m just in love with it!  It’s little details that really get me excited 🙂

progress-so-farAnd here we sit today!  This picture was taken yesterday evening 🙂

We are about to get to the fun stuff – FINISH OUT!  I am so, so excited to get going on all of the little details inside of the house and of course I will be sharing it all with you guys 😉

What is your favorite detail in your home?

Can I ask which plan you are going with?? We just bought a lot and are currently OVERLOADED with plans. We have the same type of style, so I’m curious as to the one that you chose!! THANKS!

Hey Jennifer! Here is a link to ours. We rearranged the kitchen completely and I’ll share that soon but this is the main idea:). Good luck on your new home!!

could you share your actual home plans? i’m in love with your house, but unfortunately that link doesn’t work! i searched like a mad woman on that site, but they only have a one story variation of it, and i love the two story version!

Thanks for showing on the outside, where the rooms are on the inside – it’s cool to make the connection! I like how the stairs are kind of curving between the living and dining areas, nice touch.

Looks AWESOME! How exciting it must be to build a home – around here the houses are OLD and land is scarce so building is rarely an option.

The favorite part of our old house – the COLOR! I am thrilled to live in a lavender house!

The whole design is totally awesome! Kudos to you for your taste and your father for his skills! Is your father a customer home builder??

Looks like there is absolutely no wasted space which i love very cost efficient. I can’t wait to see all the fun things you are going to make. Super excited for you!! 🙂

      Hi Brandi,
Thank you! One of my goals when we were looking through plans was to find a home with very little wasted space. We had about 500 sq ft. of wasted space in our last home that eventually got to me 😉 I think we found a great fit for our family! Thanks so much for following along!

Love how the roof angle/shape from the back is so European ( at least my Belgian house experience!). It looks wonderful! Love the dormers also. Anxious to see the inside combo great room area with the stairs at that angle. What’s the total sq. Ft. Amt? How much land is it on? Proportions look very fine with size of lot around it!! Very impressive!! What a blessing!

      Hi Susan!
Thank you so much 🙂 I can’t wait to start on the inside! The total sq. ft. amount is 3026 and it’s on a little over a 1/2 acre 🙂
