Garage Organization & GIVEAWAY!!

Now, who doesn’t love a little garage organization??  I have been working on getting my shop revamped for the last few months.  I am slowly tackling every nook and cranny to make the most out of the space and use every inch 🙂  One of my latest projects to tackle was upgrading from the pegboard system I have been using as tool storage, to the Rubbermaid FastTrack system!  Can we talk about how much I LOVE this system??  Check out how I set it up!

Rubbermaid Garage Organization

This is my wall of tools that don’t get used as often… Minus the radio!  I love how I can hang my radio and it’s perfectly in reach all the time!

Garage Storage Idea

And the hanging baskets are perfect for holding my bagged tools and shop towels.  I also keep my Clorox wipes in there for when I spill stain and paint… Which happens fairly often 😉

Garage Wall Storage

This system has been a lifesaver.  No more stinkin’ silver pegboard hooks falling on the ground!  Game changer.  It was crazy easy to install too.

Everything runs on a rail system.  Each rail is a silver metal piece that is covered by a black plastic piece that slides over it.  The first step is attaching the silver rail to the wall.  I found and marked the studs in my wall, and then used my impact driver to drill 2.5″ screws into the studs.  A drill works perfectly for this part too!  I used my level on this part as well to make sure each rail was straight.

After attaching the silver piece, you just slide on the black plastic piece right over it.

Installing Rubbermaid FastTrack

Then, each attachment just clicks onto the rail.  SIMPLE.  AWESOME.

And, the attachments easily slide on the rails making it super easy to customize.  I love it.  Check out the rest of the space!

Garage Tool Organization

Love how these little hooks hold my jigsaws and sander…

And remember my lumber storage rack I built?  I was using the pegboard system on the back to hold my drills and other tools I use on nearly every project.  Not anymore!

  1. We had our new house designed with a workshop attached to the garage, but my husband’s been sick fighting cancer and hasn’t been able to get it all organized and set up. I would get everything put in order and then I can use it to get some of my projects finished.

  2. I would use the Rubbermaid FastTrack system to organize “my side” of our tiny garage! My hubby uses his side of the garage to watch sports w/ his buddies. I use my side for tool storage, laundry, all the boys sports equipment, etc! As you can see I wear the pants & the skirt in this garage…and my hubby wouldn’t have it any other way. He hates DIY…I LOVE, LOVE it! Hoping to use your Mantel plans to assist with my next DIY project.

  3. Most definitely would use it in the garage…trying to get motivated in there this week with the piles of random projects, etc, etc!

  4. I would use it to organize my storage building. it is such chaos in there. I have to pull everything out to even get to my tool box.

  5. We are working on a huge project to help bring my elderly mothers bungalow up to a safe and habitable living area. Unfortunately due to my disability I was unable to even get into her home. As soon as I was able I just wanted to break down and cry to see the living conditions that she has injured.
But cutting a long story short there are a number of rooms aswell as outbuildings that we need to tackle on a very low budget.
Your prize would make at least her garage or even her garden shed one step closer to giving her some calmness to live out the rest of her years in peace of which she dearly deserves.
Even if we/she is not fortunate to win we will succeed in forfilling all our dreams.
    Many thanks

  6. Definitely the garden shed. It is a disaster in there! This would really help, because the floor rack being used now for shovels, rakes, etc. takes up a HUGE amount of space.

  7. I don’t have a garage myself so I would donate it to my folks to help them organize theirs… and I’d go and help them get it put up. Their garage is almost impossible to walk through so having a system likes this would be a big step in the right direction. I’d encourage it to be used for organizing all of my dad’s tools. He has a hard time finding them and will end up going out to buy a replacement. So maybe that little problem could be eliminated and prevent additional clutter form being added. 🙂

  8. I would use the Rubbermaid FastTrack system to organize my
garage/workshop. We’ve been planning to organize the garage/workshop for along time, but it keeps getting pushed down the priority list. It is in desperate need of help. This system looks like a great place to
    start.

  9. The shed where I work on my projects needs this FastTrack system above the workbench so I can keep my Ryobi tools in reach and off the bench while I’m not using them. Then I can buy more tools because I would have plenty of room for them on the wall so I can keep building all the great projects I’m in love with!!

  10. I would use the Rubbermaid FastTrack system to finally organize our garage. We have moved recently and everything is just stacked in the garage right now waiting to figure out the best way to organize it. This would definitely get us on track to declutter and organize so we could FINALLY park in the garage. This is the first house we have owned that would allow our vehicles to fit into the garage (our other houses had a 1 car, but even a compact car was too big to fit in them). I don’t even know how awesome it would be to have my car in an organized garage and no more windshield scrapping for me during the winter!

  11. I would use it in our garage to organize our racks, cleaning supplies, and other odds and ends. jessicarwarfield at gmail dot com

  12. Our garage is so cluttered with all the projects we have been working on. Tools and wood scraps everywhere. This would help eliminate the arguments between my husband and myself about where tools have been misplaced.

  13. I would definitely use the Ribbermaid FastTrack system in my garage. We just bought a new house and our garage is screaming “Help me!” and so am I

  14. We would absolutely looooove to get our garage in order with the fast track system. After moving, the garage is the first place things go to either store, get rid of, or get out of the way. Now is the time to get it all organized so we can get a better handle on all our new projects.
