$15 DIY Mirror

103

Hey there!  I just put together this mirror in about an hour and it only cost me $15! I love the simplicity to it!  Here’s how you can make your own:) I purchased this Mainstay door mirror from Wal-Mart for $5.  I had to do a little demolition on the cheap, plastic trim that was glued to it. I started by ripping off the paper backing. I then used a utility knife to cut the glue (it seemed to be close to a hot glue consistency).  Make sure that you cut where the glue and the trim meet. Now this is the part {…Read More…}

Bathroom Makeover

30

Hey there!  I am so happy to finally get around to my guest bathroom.  I haven’t done a thing to it since we moved in 3 years ago and it’s the one room we have the most visitors to! This is the before…. I don’t like the paint color, there is no natural light and it looks like the after-thought it was;) Here it is after the completed first phase of the makeover. I chose Dutch Boy Route 66-f14-3 in a satin finish for the walls.  (I was inspired by Whit’s living room walls   This bathroom is very small with zero natural {…Read More…}

DIY Pottery Barn Inspired Benchright Side Table

She did it again!  Our sweet friend Ana designed plans for the Pottery Barn Benchwright Side Tables!  I thought they would be the perfect addition to the Tryde Coffee Table I built for our living room. This is Pottery Barns version:  On SALE for $349. With Ana’s plans, I built two for $25 each! Here are some pics of my build process:) I followed Ana’s advice and tied a string around a nail to draw my guide circle.
